The World Bank Institute signed a memorandum of understanding with the Carol and Lawrence Zicklin Center for Business Ethics Research at The Wharton School to collaborate in e-conference and case study development, the creation of web-based learning courses, the design of publications, and the offering of a Zicklin Fellowship -- a Zicklin sponsored position in the World Bank Institute.

 

 

The purpose of the collaboration is to:

  • share agendas in areas of common interest;
  • pool resources and expertise where appropriate;
  • maximize impact through working in partnership;
  • utilize our existing global networks to mutual advantage and benefit; and
  • share knowledge and ideas.

 

 

Partnership Activities Include:

  • IMF/WB Businesses Reaching the Poor: The Asian Experience in Expanding Market Opportunities
  • Conference on Research on Corruption and its Control: The State of the Art
  • Special Session on Corporate Governance and Business Ethics, featuring former SEC Chairman Roderick Hills
  • Global Classroom Events (Fall and Spring Semesters)
  • Joint teaching of Wharton Undergraduate Class titled "Corporate Responsibility and Ethics" by Professor William Laufer and Dr. Djordjija Petkoski, Lead Specialist at WBI
  • Training Series on Business Leadership in Fighting Corruption in East Asia
